NCYH PARENT CONTRACT
 

  1. On Time --
    • Please get the players to both PRACTICES & GAMES early so they can suit up and be ready to go on time.
    • If your player is going to miss a practice, please  **TEXT, EMAIL, CALL**  your coach ASAP.
    • Each coach puts in a lot of time to develop a practice plan for each practice with the idea every player will be there. We understand that your player may have other commitments, so we ask that you  **CONTACT** the coach to let him know of the conflict in ADVANCE of the missed practice.
  2. Sportsmanship and Respect
    1. Only POSITIVE comments will be given out during games/practices to Referees, Players, Coaches and other parents.
      • FIRST infraction - you will receive a warning from the Coach or Hockey Director.
      • SECOND infraction - your player will not participate in the next game.
      • THIRD infraction - your player will be removed from the team.
    2. All player issues are to be addressed FIRST by the player, NOT the parent or guardian. If you are NOT satisfied with the results then discuss with the head coach and the player at the same time.
      • FIRST infraction - you will receive a warning from the Coach or Hockey Director.
      • SECOND infraction - your player will not participate in the next game.
      • THIRD infraction - your player will be removed from the team.
    3. If you arrive at the end of practice and your son/ daughter is sitting apart from the rest of the team come to the coaches FIRST to understand the reason. No one player is bigger than the team.
  3. 24 Hour Rule --
    • If for any reason there is a conflict between the parent/player and a member of the coaching staff during a game, a minimum of 24 hours must pass between contact between the parent/player and the coach.
    • This is a cooling down period for all involved.
    • If this requirement is not met, the player will not play the next scheduled game, and if this occurs a second time the player will be removed from the team.
  4. Conflicts -- Any conflict you feel is unfair should be taken to the Jr. Eagles Hockey Director. We are all here for the kids to play a game.
  5. Support -- Reinforce the player expectation the coaches are seeking. Please do not provide contradicting information.
  6. HAVE FUN! -- Hockey is a great game that your child gets to play!
