🔹 Who Is Power Skating For?

Power Skating is designed for committed hockey players looking to elevate their skating during the off-season.

âś” Players looking to improve skating skills in the off-season

✔ MUST be able to perform forward AND backward crossovers

✔ MUST have strong backward balance

(Examples: 1-foot glide, C-cuts, backward crossovers — recommended)

⚠️ IMPORTANT SKILLS NOTICE (Please Read)

Power Skating is NOT Learn to Skate for Hockey.

If your player needs to work on:

Power Skating assumes athletes are already proficient in basic skating mechanics and focuses on:

  • Developing POWER
  • Maintaining power while controlling a puck

🚨 If a player cannot perform the required skating skills, they may be asked to leave the session.

👉 NO REFUNDS will be given.

🧢 What to Wear / Bring

âś” Full hockey gear (what you would wear in a game situation)

✔ Water (required)

âś” Protein bar for after class

🔥 What Should Be Expected?

Each session is intentionally structured and high-intensity, focusing on:

• Skills broken down each session with emphasis on SKILLS, DRILLS & POWER

• Strong focus on edge work, both with and without a hockey stick

• Development of full range of motion through proper blade usage

• Understanding how upper body alignment maximizes transitional quickness

• Enhanced performance through resistance training

• Creation of explosive power

đź’° Other Fee Information

• Due to limited space, no sibling discounts will be offered

• No sessions will be pro-rated due to missed sessions throughout the summer

• Players unable to attend their assigned ice time may NOT attend other sessions, as all sessions will be full

NOTE: Many players benefit from our Learn to Skate program, which includes crossovers and beginning transitions.

🧊 Bottom Line:

Power Skating & Skills Classes are purpose-driven and built for motivated athletes who are ready to invest their off-season to build speed, power and confidence that translates directly to game play.
