10U-18U -- Coach Registration
RETURNING COACHES
Returning coaches can check their SafeSport status, Background Screening status, Age Specific Modules and CEP Level and expiration by going to https://courses.usahockey.com/public/ and clicking "My Profile" from the top menu and then selecting "Coaching Information" from the left hand menu.
Coaches must have completed a USA Hockey 2025-2026 season registration to access this site.
1) USA HOCKEY REGISTRATION
All coaches are required to register with USA Hockey as a Player/Coach. Cost is $52 plus any affiliate fees if applicable. You will be prompted to enter your USA Hockey confirmation number into your Hyland Registration and SafeSport Training.
2) USA HOCKEY BACKGROUND SCREENING
This must be completed before participating in any team activities!
On average, background screens take between 3-10 business days to complete. Cost is $30 for all domestic screens, which are valid for 2 seasons. USAH does not accept background checks completed for any other organization.
3) SAFESPORT TRAINING
This must be completed before participating in any team activities!
SafeSport Training is free and must be completed every year. You will first need to create a profile and then click the link to the Coaching eLearning and SafeSport Training to access the training.
4) CONCUSSION TRAINING
This must be completed before participating in any team activities!
Concussion Awareness training is a yearly requirement per Colorado State Law (SB - 40). Coaches may take any Concession Training that meets the Colorado State Law mandated training. Two options are listed below:

Please complete one of the options and upload your certificate using the NCYH Crossbar. (If you have issues uploading the certificate please email a copy to HOCKEY@NCYH.ORG)
5) NCYH COACH REGISTRATION
This must be completed before participating in any team activities!
When prompted to select a participant to register, select yourself OR choose + NEW PARTICIPANT and add your name and information for this coach registration.
6) AGE-SPECIFIC MODULES
This must be completed before participating in any team activities!
You must first complete the Foundations of Player Development Module before purchasing an Age-Specific Module. Once completed, there will be a 15-minute window before you can purchase and complete your Age-Specific Module. Choose the module for the level you will be coaching (6U/8U, 10U/12U or 13+). Cost is $20 for the 6U/8U module all others are $25.
7) COACHING CLINIC (CEP)
Available June 15th - December 15th
You can only attend one clinic per season and the cost is $65. Coaches will need to complete an "6U/8U clinic" if coaching on an 8U team or a "Level 1 clinic" if coaching at 10U and above.
Coaches have until 12/31/25 to complete their CEP requirement.
8) Coaching Certification Reimbursement

NCYH will cover the costs associated with required coaching certification. To request reimbursement, please complete the Coaching Credit Form (BELOW) and email it—along with all supporting documentation (receipts, confirmation emails, certificates, etc.)—to Kim Stolz at Hockey@ncyh.org.
