U8/Mite Registration

NCYH'S U8 Program is the very foundation - the base upon which the Association builds its travel and recreational teams. The USA Hockey Initiation Program is designed for players 4-8 years old. It encourages a non-competitive environment in which children can learn the basic skills without the distractions that are often associated with an over emphasis on winning. Mastery of fundamental skills and the fun of playing are essential to the development of a lifelong interest in hockey.

Important Registration Information

• Returning NCYH players will have exclusive access to register during the first two weeks of registration (May 18–31)
• Families are encouraged to register early to improve their chances of securing a spot.
• New-to-NCYH players may begin registering after June 1**

What You’ll Need Before Registering

Please have the following ready:

• Online payment method:
• Visa
• MasterCard
• ACH checking account
• Parent and player contact information
• NEW USA Hockey confirmation number

Payment & Fee Information

• A registration deposit is required.
• Deposits are:
• Non-refundable
• Non-transferable to another player, sibling, or program
• Payment plans are available for families.

Evaluations will occur early October

Jersey Hand out will occur after evaluations - an email will be sent out with more information

U8 Sessions Start: mid-October

Team Pictures: early November

Under 8 Players will be provided a jersey once teams are formed.
